Volunteer

Volunteer Opportunities:

Committee volunteers provide leadership and guidance, help connect and foster relationships, review materials, and provide input for improving our initiatives. For more information about meeting times and membership requirements, please contact Patty at pdunn@cfgfw.org.

Bi-Monthly Sub-Committees:

    • Economic Security: Review employment issues that impede women and girls from reaching their full economic potential. This committee assists with the Compass Survey, Employer Toolkit, Women in the Workplace Luncheon, and recruiting employers for the Internship Program.

    • Personal Safety: Promote programs, policies, and systems that ensure women and girls’ safety. Volunteers coordinate outreach for the No Matter What campaigns, engage in systems mapping for domestic violence services, and advocate for legal system changes.

    • Young Women & Girls: Listen to and amplify the voices of young women and girls so they know they are supported and celebrated. This committee provides leadership and guidance for Girl-Centered Practice Trainings and Collab Cafés, and assists with research about young women and girls in Allen County.

Monthly Sub-Committees:

    • Membership & Fundraising: Engage in development strategies to grow membership, promote the work of the Women’s Fund, and raise funds for our initiatives and focus areas.

    • Events: Plan and coordinate Women’s Fund events such as Women in the Workplace Luncheon, Take a Girl to Work Day, and Women Rock. Volunteers are responsible for collaborating to manage logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, scheduling, promotion, and building partnerships.
